Paying for Therapy

Indigo North is not currently in-network with any insurance plans, but many clients are able to get reimbursed for their sessions through their out-of-network benefits.  Use the benefits checker below to see what your plan may cover.

Private pay only: $120 per 45 minute individual session

$150 per 55 minute individual session

$200 per 55 minute couples session

$275 per 90 minute couples counseling intensive session

Payment forms: American Express, Cash, Check, Discover, Health Savings Account, Mastercard, Visa

*HSA and FSA may not be used to pay for couples sessions, and superbills are not available for couples sessions, as insurance does not cover couples therapy.  Some insurance may cover family sessions when one person is the identified patient and the partner is brought in only to help address the treatment for the other person's diagnosis.  I do not offer this type of ongoing couples therapy, and my approach is to treat the relationship/both partners as the identified patients.  Therefore, all couples therapy is private pay and not eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.

*HSA and FSA also cannot be used to cover the cost of late cancellation fees.

*Indigo North will not submit claims on your behalf.  Payment is due at time of service, and superbills can be provided upon request.  It is your responsibility to submit superbills directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Indigo North cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insuance company.  Reach out to your insurance company directly to get the most accurate information on your out-of-network benefits.

No Surprises Act:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
